Meet Your Instructor

Greater Florida CPR exists because I believe every person in this community deserves access to life-saving skills, and every person with a healthcare credential deserves a training provider who actually works around their schedule. I built this business around both of those beliefs.

I am a certified American Heart Association BLS Instructor and the founder of Greater Florida CPR. When you book with us, you are working with an AHA-certified instructor who takes that responsibility seriously.

My background is in education and community service. I hold a Doctor of Education (EdD) and a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS), and I spent more than two decades working in public libraries, academic institutions, and community organizations before founding Greater Florida CPR. As a youth librarian and library director, I spent years designing programs that met people where they were, building access, removing barriers, and showing up for communities that needed it. That same philosophy drives how we run our classes and set our schedule.

I am also a former homeschooling mother, which means I know firsthand what it looks like to teach with intention, to adapt to different learners, and to make complex skills feel approachable and achievable. Whether you are a nurse renewing your BLS card at 10:30 at night or a family learning CPR together for the first time, every session is designed to meet you where you are.

We offer morning, afternoon, evening, and late-night classes, including weekends, because healthcare workers do not keep 9-to-5 schedules, and neither should their training options. Greater Florida CPR is the only provider in Seminole County offering after-hours BLS and CPR training, and that is not an accident. It is the whole point.

The reason I pursued AHA BLS Instructor certification is personal. I lost my father to a heart condition. That loss made something very clear to me: the gap between knowing what to do and not knowing can be the difference between life and death and closing that gap, one certification at a time, is work worth doing. I have been engaged in community work for over two decades. This is the next chapter of that work.

I am glad you are here. Let's get you certified.
